JD Buchert is a nationally recognized healthcare quality and patient safety leader with extensive experience in perioperative care. As Clinical Advisor to KODA Ideaworks, he provides guidance on clinical standards, risk mitigation, and product integration within high-acuity environments.
JD currently serves as Head of Safety and Quality for Parkland Health, one of the largest public health systems in the United States. In this role, he oversees safety strategy, regulatory alignment, and clinical performance across a wide spectrum of care delivery. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), where he helps shape national standards for surgical safety and nursing excellence.
At KODA Ideaworks, JD advises on product testing, compliance requirements, and real-world clinical usability.
